MIA: luigi "no mas" munoz and carissa munozmaster catalasan has been training her elite fighting team for quite some time now. the 2008 elite fighting team consists of 9 fighters: brianna "gramma" kaneshiro, austin "the revolver" woodward, luigi "no mas" munoz, brooke "gumby" barth, sara lee, nicolette "stealth" beltran, carissa munoz, and jake "lil' kahuna" kaihewalu. they have worked so hard the past couple of months, and all of that hard work paid off!
on march 8th, 8 out of the 9 elite fighting team members fought at the states competition at cerritos community college in norwalk, california (go figure! cerritos college is in norwalk! weird!) out of the 8 fighters, 7 qualified with GOLD MEDALS to move on to the junior olympics in detroit, michigan (july 1-6, 2008). the 8th fighter tried his luck again at national qualifier event #3 in fresno, california on april 12. he got 2nd place and is eligible for junior olympics as well!
that's right!! 8 out of 8 fighters made it to nationals/junior olympics!! so, that's the next goal - detroit2008!!
